Sorry for the short post. The end of my semester at design school is nearing and there’s no time to photograph projects just yet. I’m dying to get back into blogging and sewing like a madwoman, but that will have to wait another two weeks. Some stuff that’s been going on lately:
Working on some quick and easy summer projects that can be completed during small sewing breaks in between school work. Sorbetto Tops forever!
These days, I rarely come across a fashion blog I like, but when I randomly discovered one of Rach Martino’s posts, she had me at the first picture.
Turns out after two months of working on my cardigan for the Outfit-Along, I really miss it when not knitting on my commute, so I started a new project right away: The Snowflake sweater. The lace yoke already caused several headaches, but now it’s super fun.
Hand Exercises for Knitters: This is so helpful for knitting over longer periods of time.
Emily Quinton’s is teaching an online class in October that focuses on photography for knitting and crochet. I’m sure a lot of the tips can be applied to photographing sewing projects, too. You can check out all the details at the Playful Day Blog, see more of Emily’s photos here and here and sign up for the class here.
I hope your summer isn’t as full of deadlines as mine :)
