Can you believe it’s May already? Just four weeks ago I started design school which is both super exciting and super exhausting. Big transitions always are. You haven’t adapted to the new “routine” yet, everything’s new and unknown and it requires much more energy to get through the day. So besides work the last month basically consisted of an insane amount of sleep.
Sewing time was dearly missed, but the minute I came home, my body screamed “Sleeeep!” and those were all the options for the evening. So I tried not to stress myself too much and gave my body the rest it needed.
And slowly but surely, my sewing time returns. There’s a couple of unblogged projects I am dying to share with you this month. But first, I’m excited for the Me-Made-May Challenge:
I, Wiebke of Nähzimmerblog, sign up as a participant of Me-Made-May ’15.
I endeavour to wear at least one me-made garment each day for the duration of May 2015. In addition, I will try to wear every me-made item in my wardrobe at least once.
Funny story: It wasn’t until yesterday that I realized how many handmade pieces I own. It’s 23 garments total. 23! Plus three hats, one cowl, one bag and a belt. 23 garments make the whole Me-Made-May thing seem even more exciting. Can’t wait to start!
I’ll try to share a roundup at the end of each week here on the blog and maybe on instagram as well. Have you signed up for Me-Made-May yet?
